Central American countries to allow free tourists transit with U.S. and Europe visa

The four Central American countries — El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua — will allow the free transit of tourist with visa from the U.S., Canada or some European countries, which are part of the Schengen area, authorities announced on Monday.
    According to information reaching here from San Salvador, Salvadorian Foreign Minister Marisol Argueta de Barillas said on Monday that this measure will benefit travelers from some 70 countries.
    Argueta told reporters that the foreigners who fulfill the requirements will be authorized to enter El Salvador and three other Central American countries.
    Argueta said that the decision was taken on March 19 by the Visa Homologation Commission, formed by officers from the four countries, in a meeting held in Guatemala. Editor: An
