Vietnam Airlines promises not raise holiday fares

Vietnam Airlines has said it will not raise ticket prices for domestic flights during the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday, Thanh Nien News reported.The pledge was announced by the carrier’s General Director, Pham Ngoc Minh, after the Vietnamese government announced a lift on fare caps, allowing carriers to fix their own prices based on demand.

Vietnam’s launches luxury train cars

Central Vietnam’s first luxury train cars have gone into operation, the Thanh Nien News has reported. The four cars will carry passengers between Hanoi, Hue and Danang. One-way tickets from Hanoi to Danang, via Hue, will be sold for approximately VND700,000 (US$42).
